Gorden's culture came out negative... So he saw the Doc this morning and the Doc feels like more than one thing is going on. Speculation is that he has an Upper Respiratory Infection either viral or bacterial (he's still on antibiotics) and that something entirely different is going on with his kidneys. Not exciting. So they checked his urine again and there was still blood but not as much as before (good news). The Doc thinks its best to get past the URI and then see what's going on with his kidneys. So.... he stays on antibiotics and a week from now will have another urinalysis and kidney function testing from a blood sample. He's been quite the trooper. He definitely wants his mommy close most of the time, but he perks up a couple times a day. The fever sacks quite a bit of his energy but he usually only cries when he's really tired or the fever gets high. It's been over 104°F several times since Friday, but seems to respond well to medication. Just an update. We'll post more when we know more.

Please keep us updated on him! I really hope everything is okay. Kind of seems funny to me that they are taking this long to figure things out though...He will be in our prayers! Oh, and happy birthday to both of you!
