27?... Kelly was right, it does sound older.

I honestly can't believe i'm TWENTY-SEVEN years old! It was honestly a hard day for me, although i'm not completely sure why. It was a sad day for me. It shouldn't be but it was. The best part of the whole day would probably be bowling with Kelly on our date. It was really fun. Gorden's random, half-finished "Happy Birthday to Dad, Happy Birthday to Dad" singing throughout the day comes in a close second though. He's an incredible kid. I wonder where he gets some of his stuff from. He has a strong spirit. It was great to spend some time with Kelly. Thanks goes to Caleb for the Olive Garden. Thanks Bro! Well, that's about it for the Big 2-7. I don't care to write about the rest of it. Now to take one from Peter King here's ten things i think i think:

  1. 27 is a LOT closer to 30 than 26 is.
  2. The problem in Pakistan doesn't seem to have an easy solution. Especially from a U.S. perspective. We can't condone what Musharraf is doing, but he has also been very helpful in our so-called "war on terror." It's a complete mess over there. Say what you will about W but there's no way he'll postpone elections and declare martial law without a major war on our hands and probably not even then unless it reaches U.S. soil. (which i don't put past him to create).... Okay, so maybe we're not much better off.
  3. Houston Nutt's not as bad as most think. That said, Arkansas deserves, and can have a much better coach, and maybe one day we can have back the quaterback we were supposed to have until Nutt forced him out. Blue chipper, 8-0, and you pull him for a guy with an arm like Barney Fife. Bad vibes man, bad vibes... Arkansas football will reap what it has sown.... and that's not pretty.
  4. Ankle tight jeans = Stupid...... It was stupid in the 80's and it's not any better now.
  5. The only way to celebrate Halloween is with a homemade bagel in your hand.
  6. If it turns out that Mood Disorders are a result of mis-shapen or overactive astrocytes the neuroscientists of the world will have lost over a decade on SSRI's and MAOI's. More importantly, it could mean that neither of those drugs actually do what they are thought to do. (Although MAOI's almost certainly do, and that's their biggest problem.)
  7. The only thing more rediculous than the Smith Center, Kansas Redmen football team's 72 point first quarter is their 51 game winning streak, or perhaps the fact they've outscored opponents 704-0 this year. Wow, who would've guessed Smith Center (near where my Dad grew up) to be a powerhouse at anything but wheat growing.
  8. The economy is headed down. We're at least going to have a nice little recession, we're long overdue and even thought Bernanke is new, he has to know what he's talking about.
  9. America will be unseated as the superpower if its citizens can't buck the trend of increased laziness and decreased ambition.
  10. I would be a full blown fan of The Office if i weren't addicted to College Football. As it is i only get to see the parts during REALLY bad games or timeouts/commercials. It's a real shame. Maybe December through August will catch me up. I mean with the strike, they can't help but play reruns for who knows how long, and now that TBS picked it up i might be able to catch up completely.
